Research on the Diversity of Medicinal Plant Resources in Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang and Proposed Measures for Sustainable Conservation and Use

Author: NGUYEN DUY HUNG

Major: Botany

Field: Biology

Document Content:

This thesis investigates the medicinal plant resources in Hoang Su Phi district, Ha Giang province, a region characterized by its diverse terrain and rich vegetation, including numerous medicinal plants. Despite its potential, the district’s medicinal plant resources have not been thoroughly studied. The research aims to evaluate the diversity of these resources and propose measures for their sustainable conservation and utilization. The study also examines the traditional knowledge of ethnic minorities regarding medicinal plants and identifies threats to these resources. The findings highlight the significant diversity of medicinal plants in Hoang Su Phi, with a concentration in the Magnoliophyta class. The research identifies various life forms and distribution patterns of these plants, as well as their conservation status, with some species being critically endangered. The thesis also explores the value of these resources in traditional medicine and the pharmaceutical industry, alongside the invaluable indigenous knowledge held by ethnic minorities. Recommendations are proposed for the conservation and development of these valuable natural assets.
