Nội dung tài liệu: Nghiên cứu này tập trung vào việc phân lập, đặc trưng và đánh giá hoạt tính kháng khuẩn và kháng nấm của các peptide có cấu trúc xoắn alpha và mang điện tích dương được chiết xuất từ nọc bọ cạp Opistophtalmus carinatus ở miền Nam châu Phi. Hai peptide mới, được đặt tên là opistoporin 1 và 2, đã được xác định. Nghiên cứu so sánh cấu trúc của chúng với các peptide tương tự trong nọc bọ cạp khác và tiến hành nghiên cứu sâu về hoạt tính kháng khuẩn và kháng nấm của chúng, so sánh với các peptide đã biết như melittin và mastoparan. Kết quả cho thấy các peptide này có hoạt tính mạnh mẽ chống lại vi khuẩn Gram âm và nấm, đồng thời đề xuất cơ chế hoạt động liên quan đến sự phá vỡ màng tế bào.
