New Physics Effect in Advanced Economical 3-3-1 Models

Author: Lê Đức Thiện

Field: Theoretical and Mathematical Physics

Document Description:

This document presents a summary of a Physics Doctoral Thesis focused on exploring extensions of the Standard Model (SM) to address experimental puzzles in particle physics and cosmology. The research investigates the potential of 3-3-1 models as a framework for new physics, capable of explaining phenomena such as neutrino oscillations, matter-antimatter asymmetry, dark matter, and dark energy, which are not fully accounted for by the current SM and general relativity.

The thesis introduces a “simple 3-3-1 model” and a “flipped 3-3-1 model” to tackle these issues. The simple model incorporates inert scalars and right-handed neutrinos to explain neutrino masses and dark matter candidates. The flipped model modifies lepton generation arrangements, leading to natural candidates for dark matter and explaining lepton flavor violation. The research also examines the phenomenology of these models, including their predictions for new physics effects at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and constraints derived from experimental searches.
